I had a BRNO ZKK601 in 7圆4 I just sold on a couple of months ago. Looks almost one piece but I am picking it is a floor plate and trigger base surround as one piece with the actual trigger guard fitted in and held by the same rear screw to make it look "almost" one piece. Trigger guard and bottom plate are all metal. Floor plate probably holds it all in place unless there are holding screws on the inside too. It has different elements in it too but hard to say how it is all put together. Although it was adopted by the Greek military as their standard issue service rifle in 1903, the Mannlicher-Schoenauer saw its greatest success as a hunting rifle. Magazine seems to be a cast allow frame fitted in the wood cut out and the floor plate just attached to the wooden stock. The Mannlicher-Schoenauer was produced by Oesterreichische Waffenfabrik Gesellschaft Steyr beginning in the year 1900 as the Model of 1900 in sporting rifle and carbine versions. I am not pulling it apart unless I keep it but from what I can see looking in the mag well with a torch, the rotary wing appears synthetic. not to be confused with I'm going blind doing something in my lap.
Right, got it sitting in my lap right now. Is the trigger guard plastic as per S,L,M or metal? Its a blind mag but is the floor plate part of the blind mag or just attached to the wooden stock (does this make sense?) How do you find the wing safety as it's unusual for a Steyr? I have a few FS's MC,MCA,S,L,M,CL,CL2 so have a couple of questions, Will even throw in in some original quick detach, removable 30mm rings. I'm heading over to Wellington/Kapiti region on Wednesday and can bring it with me if you're a buyer from over that way. although this is intended more as a carbine and not your long range shooter.Ĭouriers are posing the usual problem but I'm sure we will figure out something on this forum.
